My name is Richard Hofrichter, Senior Research Associate in the
Environmental Health Division at the National Association of County
and City Health Officials (NACCHO). We are interested in ensuring the
protection of public health at brownfield sites and, specifically,
supporting the inclusion of public health department and community
participation in brownfield decision-making. Independently of
NACCHO, I am editing an anthology tentatively titled Struggles for
Environmental Health: Corporate Power and Cultural Politics which
will include some discussion of brownfields issues.
