Tony-- The Hartford Coordinator should take a look at the following twin documents prepared by EPA's Technology Innovation Office. They contain a 17-page glossary that defines specialized terms and acronyms used in discussing and describing Brownfields cleanup efforts. The Road Map, which describes the basic steps involved in the clean up of a site slated for redevelopment, is intended for the various individuals involved in or affected by the redevelopment of Brownfields sites. The document specifically focuses on those who will make decisions about Brownfields sites but who may not be familiar with the many elements involved in cleaning them up. Please note that the document identifies key questions decision makers should ask duing each phase of cleanup, as well as offers various technology options to assist in the effort. The two documents are: -- Road Map to Understanding Innovative Technology Options for Brownfields Investigation and Cleanup (EPA No. EPA 542-B-97-002) -- A Tool Kit of Information Resources for Brownfields Investigation and Cleanup (EPA No. EPA 542-B-97-001) I hope this helps.
