In response to community involvement, I also think it can benefit 
developers to have community involvement for input on what is 
developed and how it can socially and economically benefit both 
(community & developer).  A possible win win situation???

Maybe community involvement SHOULD be interesting because it is relevant to
the developer's ability to finding good sites, convincing owners to let them
be developed and structuring deals!!
