Pennsylvania Funds Redevelopment of Former Sharon Steel Brownfield Site Farrell, Pennsylvania 9/24/98 The Shenango Valley Industrial Development Corporation (SVIDC) plans to develop a new industrial park on a 35-acre brownfield site, part of the former Sharon Steel Corp facility. The $3.4 million project is expected to create 210 new jobs and result in the construction of at least $15 million in new industrial facilities. The funds will be used by SVIDC to support the purchase of the 35-acre property, to demolish existing blighted industrial buildings, to prepare the site, and to install the sewer and water lines.
