Workers want answers on contamination in Milford By FRANK JULIANO Connecticut Post November 21, 2005 MILFORD - More than three years of soil and water tests, legislative hearings and administrative reviews have not provided answers about how a toxic chemical polluted groundwater and soil in the city's industrial area. House Speaker James A. Amann, D-Milford, said last week that a legislative staffer's report on how the trichlororethylene (TCE) contamination occurred will be forwarded to Chief State's Attorney Christopher Morano and state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal for further investigation. Civil fines and criminal charges are possible, Amann said, "but at this point, two workers are dead and a third is very sick. We want answers to five very basic questions." ...
