Wetlands could restrict industrial park tenantsJOE MILLER JACKSONVILLE DAILY NEWS (NC) March 27,2006 Just how much of the 730 acres at Onslow County's vacant N.A. Burton Industrial Park are actually buildable? It depends on who you ask. Onslow County Manager Frank Clifton estimates between 400 and 450 acres. Onslow County's director of economic development Bruce Gombar said he's heard estimates closer to 600 acres. Although the exact figure is in question, what's known is that whatever is placed there could mean lots of work to deal with wetlands issues, stormwater runoff and mucky soil potentially inhospitable to heavy buildings. ...
