Hill tests show low TCE levelsBy Jennie Daley Ithaca Journal (NY) ITHACA - With the most recent round of testing on South Hill complete, numbers show relatively low levels of pollutants in the indoor air of homes despite, at times, higher numbers from beneath basement-floor slabs. ... In the latest round of tests, no homes that have shared their results showed indoor air levels above the Emerson-established mitigation threshold of 0.8 micrograms per cubic meter. The highest reported sub-slab levels of the chemical were 34 and 28 micrograms per cubic meter. Rather than express relief at these findings, some residents feel that a 24-hour test taken once or twice per year is hardly statistically significant enough to ease concerns. ...
