Study: Southeast Raleigh Needs Better Marketing NBC-17 News (NC) July 27, 2006 RALEIGH, N.C. -- City leaders need to market older southeast Raleigh neighborhoods to attract new investments by residents and businesses, according to a new study. "Southeast Raleigh has a number of assets and opportunities. Our basic conclusion is, you have to sell it, you have to market it better," said James Johnson, an economist with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the author of the study. ... A tour through southeast Raleigh shows new construction just blocks away from abandoned houses.
