Watson Park enters planning stageBy JIM KOZUBEK Manchester Union Leader (NH) September 22, 2006 Merrimack - Townspeople have been anticipating the development of the Harold and Barbara Watson Park since Harold Watson purchased 12 contaminated acres along the banks of the Souhegan, in 2002, and announced his intention to deed the land to the town and build a public park. The project moved into the planning stages last week when the town council swore in six members to the park committee to make decisions on the development of the land. Harold Watson, Rich Maloon, Jackie Flood, Ruth Roulx, Constance Kreider and Phil Straight took the oath to serve on the commission until the project is completed. ...
