U. D.'s Plans For Former NCR Land Moves Forward By Dave D'Marko WDTV TV-2 News (Dayton, OH) September 27, 2006 A proposed expansion at the University of Dayton has gained city approval despite environmental concerns. U.D. officials went before city commissioners asking for a little environmental leeway on land NCR sold them between Brown Street and Patterson Boulevard. They got the support for softer cleanup standards they were looking for at the old NCR brownfield south of Stewart Street, with one simple restriction: don't drink the water. "We have to make a case to the Ohio EPA that the groundwater on the site will never be used for drinking, and it won't because Dayton gets it's water from wells north of the site," explained Ted Bucaro, U.D.'s director of government and regional relations. ...
