Brownfield redevelopment plan nixed on state hospital property By Pam Fleming NORTHVILLE RECORD (MI) March 29, 2007Grant Trigger tried to quell the tide of negativity on the Highwood project Monday night. But the Real Estate Interests Group representative's words fell on deaf ears. Members of the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority voted unanimously to not approve a plan that would have saved developers $15 million in remediation costs on the proposed residential, retail and school project on Seven Mile Road. The more than $800 million proposal REI and Schostak Brothers & Company planned on the site of the former Northville Psychiatric Hospital is now at a standstill. ...
