Tax Credits to Get Redevelopment Projects Off Ground Detroit Free Press (Michigan) Alejandro Bodipo-Memba October 17, 2007 Four new Brownfield redevelopment projects in Wayne, Eaton and Ingham counties are expected to attract $20.6 million in investment and could result in 382 new jobs The Michigan Economic Development Corp. and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority said tax credits will go to four groups to help rehab several Brownfield developments. The groups are Ilitch Holdings, which will rehabilitate the 10-story Detroit Life Building in Detroit; Curis Enterprises, which wants to develop the Woodward Place in Highland Park; Kingston Place Limited Dividend Housing Association, which plans to construct senior housing apartments in Eaton Rapids; and a state and local credit to clean up 3,000 square feet of contaminated space in a 13,000-square-foot former industrial property in the Old Town area of north Lansing.
