Allentown buys insurance for Coca-Cola Park Policy will cover costs if environmental issues crop up at stadium site. By Genevieve Marshall Allentown Morning Call (PA) October 27, 2007Allentown is using part of a $1 million grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to buy environmental insurance for Coca-Cola Park, city officials announced Friday. City, county and EPA officials held a check-passing ceremony at the minor league baseball stadium, which is under construction at the former Agere site on Union Boulevard in Allentown. The Lehigh County-owned stadium will be home to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Philadelphia Phillies' Triple-A affiliate, starting next spring. The $77,000 subgrant, which has been disbursed to the county, comes from the city's Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund established through a 2004 grant, Mayor Ed Pawlowski said. ...
