Pointe Blue developer says construction may begin in a few weeks Fergus -- We're near a financing commitment BY MICHAEL BURKE Racine Journal Times (WI) December 6, 2007 RACINE - Understandably, one of the most frequent local development-related questions of 2007 has been: What happened to Pointe Blue? The year has marched on with very little action at the 19.6-acre site where the Root River’s north shore meets Lake Michigan. The often-repeated conclusion is that Pointe Blue must be dead. It turns out the development may instead be weeks from beginning construction, its developer said this week. "It's been a struggle," said Scott Fergus, a Racine native and former state legislator. "We are actually within days of having a firm commitment in place." ...
