DEP: Demolish Kiddie Kollege By Stephanie Brown Gloucester County Times (NJ) February 5, 2008 FRANKLIN TWP. Kiddie Kollege, the day care center where children were unknowingly exposed to mercury contamination, should be demolished according to a report released by the state Department of Environmental Protection late last week. The report details the extent of mercury contamination at the former thermometer factory turned day care center, saying that airborne mercury concentrations greatly exceeded the state's acceptable standard. However, the state Department of Health and Senior Services, which tested students for elevated mercury levels in 2007, said that the report doesn't warrant any additional testing of those who were exposed something parents believe is necessary for their children's health. ...
