BUFFALO AVENUE: Residents hear corridor plan

By Dan Miner
Niagara Gazette (NY)
February 13, 2008

A traffic circle at the intersection of Hyde Park Boulevard and Buffalo
Avenue; extending the LaSalle Expressway to Buffalo Avenue; creating a
new light commercial corridor through previously undeveloped sections of
the city; new residential neighborhoods in LaSalle.

Cleaning up and revitalizing a section of Niagara Falls between the
Niagara River and Niagara Falls Boulevard was on the minds of about 40
people at Niagara Falls City Hall Wednesday.

That's where the rough outline of a plan for the Buffalo Avenue
Industrial Corridor was presented by Edward Flynn of Labella Associates,
a consultant hired by the city to formulate the plan. The city received
a state Brownfield Opportunity Area grant just under $100,000 and
recently finished the first of three phases for the plan.
