Port Authority, National City partner on brownfield financing plan Business Courier of Cincinnati April 17, 2008 A gap financing agreement between the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority and National City Bank will help small and minority-owned businesses participate in brownfield cleanup projects. The Port Authority said Thursday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with National City to provide gap financing from certified small business, minority business and women business enterprises. The financing will bridge the time between completion of the work and receipt of payment from Hamilton County, according to a news release. "This creative and affordable financing approach helps this community achieve two very important public goals; restoring unproductive property to productive use, and providing opportunities for small, women-owned and minority-owned businesses to be a part of the process," said Deborah Robb, director of economic inclusion for the Port Authority, in a news release. ...
