Sears may be in order Downtown site could house retail store By Terry Katz Sturgis Journal (MI) May 6, 2008An 8,000 to 10,000-square foot Sears retail store could open in downtown Sturgis by September. The Sturgis Brownfield Redevelopment Authority will hold a public hearing at 5 p.m. May 16 at Sturgis City Hall to consider a redevelopment plan for 400 W. Chicago Road and the adjacent empty lot to the west. The location borders Jefferson Street and is the former site of a dry cleaning business. ...
