The American way is under attack

The fight between people in Northville Township and officials in the 
City of Livonia over the annexation of the Northville Psychiatric 
Hospital just keeps getting weirder and uglier.

When REIS approached Northville Township, they wanted $15 million in the 
form of a Brownfield Redevelopment funding. That was before they knew 
they might have to tap into the Livonia sewer system and potentially dig 
beneath I-275. If a Brownfield is granted, those funds will eventually 
be recouped, but residents expecting a major influx of capital into the 
city general fund any time soon will be sorely disappointed.
