Report documents contamination at Natick Paperboard site By Charlie Breitrose Metrowest Daily News (MA) July 24, 2009 NATICK —Conclusions of the latest report on the contamination at the former Natick Paperboard Factory site, released yesterday, find that some danger exists from the unpaved areas and from stormwater runoff going into a nearby brook. The Phase II Comprehensive Site Assessment, written by environmental consultants from MACTEC Engineering and Consulting Inc., focuses on four areas of contamination in the factory on North Main Street that made cardboard for 115 years. Removing some of the soil and capping the contaminated area is the recommended way to clean up the environmental hot spots. Details for how the contaminated areas will be cleaned up will be covered in future reports. ...Barberry Homes has proposed building 138 apartments and 12 townhouses on the property.
