Dear Mr. Siegel,

 

The Mayor’s Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) will be holding its third Big Apple Brownfield Workshop: Green Remediation & Sustainability on December 17th, 2009 at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City.  This event is directed towards developers, land owners, BOA groups, community development organizations, non-profit organizations, consultants, students, and the public. The workshop will consist of educational presentations that cover on-going efforts in green remediation at the national and local levels, practical illustrations of green practices implemented on a project-specific basis, and innovative strategies that incorporate brownfields into larger sustainability efforts.  Presentations will be given by government and industry experts, followed by a panel discussion on “Green Project Management: What lessons can be learned from LEED?”  The event will also feature a networking lunch and display presentations highlighting projects, available resources, and industry expertise.
