Inner-city gardens get OK

RACINE - The Racine Urban Garden Network got a green light to apply its 
green thumbs to a vacant piece of inner-city property.

The group wants to use the city-owned property at 734 Marquette St. - a 
brownfield site - for community garden plots. Wednesday the Racine 
Redevelopment Authority recommended approval.
