Whole Foods Gowanus site to be clean by April By Gary Buiso Brooklyn Heights Courier (NY) February 23, 2010Whole Foods remains intent on developing its property along the Gowanus Canal, a toxic site that should be cleaned by April, an environmental consultant for the company said this week. "Everything I know is that Whole Foods is committed to putting a Whole Foods on the site," said John Bogdanski, a senior project manager with the consulting firm BL Companies. Bogdanski told Community Board 6's Environmental Protection Committee this week that Whole Foods is in the final phase of a cleanup that began in 2005 at the site, Third Avenue and Third Street. ...
