Clean bill of health for former East Side brownfield Eileen Buckley WBFO Radio (Buffalo, NY) April 22, 2010BUFFALO, NY - Some members of the East Side Community are celebrating the end of a highly contaminated site. A stretch of brownfield along East Ferry across from the True Bethel Baptist Church is now ready for future development. ...The Rev. Darius Pridgen is pastor of True Bethel. Pridgen and a small group of citizens gathered for a blessing of the land. The DEC actually completed cleanup of inactive hazardous waste at the site late last year. But they selected Earth Week to commemorate completion of the cleanup. ...
