Pasco looks to rehab "brownfields" to spur development By KEVIN WIATROWSKI Tampa Tribune (FL) June 4, 2010At the corner of State Road 54 and U.S. 19 sits an empty lot covered in cars. Today, the lot is home to the excess stock of a nearby car dealership; but just a few years ago there was a gas station here, and that legacy could complicate any future effort to redevelop the property. As Pasco County leaders look to the future, they hope to see the rebirth of the U.S. 19's hodgepodge of aging strip malls, car dealerships and gas stations.
