Bids opened for Brush Pottery cleanup Brownfield grant, loan to pay for project BY BRIAN GADD Zanesville Times Recorder (OH) June 17, 2010ROSEVILLE -- Bids have been opened for cleaning up the former Brush Pottery site in Roseville under state and federal brownfield grant and loan programs. Raze International of Shadyside was the apparent low bidder for the demolition and asbestos removal at the site, said Scott Aschenbrener, a project geologist with the Akron-based Brownfield Restoration Group. ..."We are in the process of evaluating the soil bids. The results for samples recently taken will be used by BRG to evaluate the percentage of hazardous soil vs. non-hazardous soil," he said. "Once this determination is made, those quantities will be multiplied by the unit rates provided by each contractor on the bid sheets." ...
