ASHEVILLE - CTS Corp. is suing a local development company to force it to help pay to clean up extensive groundwater and soil contamination at a former plant site.

The Indiana-based corporation accuses Mills Gap Road Associates ofbreach of contract in a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Asheville. CTS is seeking at least $847,000.

The lawsuit says that CTS and Mills Gap Road Associates entered into an agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2004 to begin remediation of the property and to share the costs.
