Contamination clean-up to be discussed By Rick Longley Orland Press Register (CA) November 12, 2010A presentation by state officials on how to clean up groundwater contamination from the Orland Dry Cleaners tops Monday's agenda of the Orland City Council. The so-called plume is one of the issues opponents of the Crystal Geyser mineral water plant used in unsuccessfully trying to get the project defeated. However, the council was assured by the state and others that the pumping at the plant would not disturb the plume and contaminate the area's groundwater drinking and agricultural supplies. Two groups have since sued the city over the project, demanding a full environmental review be completed first. ...
