Color Center site to continue to Phase 2 of brownfield assessment By Leslie H. Dixon Lewiston Sun Journal (ME) December 7, 2010NORWAY - An environmental review of the former Color Center property at 250 Main St. will be conducted in the future to determine the potential impact of chemicals released during a 2003 fire and any offsite impacts from an adjacent gasoline station. The Color Center is one of two sites that recently underwent a Phase 1 site assessment that identified the type, quantity and extent of potential contamination based on a variety of information obtained from property records, interviews and site visits. The second site, the Advertiser-Democrat building on the corner of Pikes Hill and Main Street, which also houses the Norway bureau of the Sun Journal, will not undergo further testing, according to Rich Campbell of the Campbell Environmental Group. ...
