Neenah rezones brownfield site for townhouses By Duke Behnke Appleton Post-Crescent (WI) January 6, 2011NEENAH — The Common Council on Wednesday rezoned a seven-acre brownfield site at 155 N. Western Ave. from industrial use to commercial use to accommodate a $10 million, 68-unit townhouse complex. The vote was 8-1 with Ald. Todd Stevenson in opposition.At least seven votes were needed for passage because neighbors had filed a petition against the rezoning, thereby requiring a three-fourths vote of the council, rather than a simple majority. ...
