Remedy selected for Westchester Brownfield site contaminationOSSINING - The State Department of Environmental Conservation has selected a remedy for the Clinton Terrace Shopping Center site at 74-82 Croton Avenue in the Village of Ossining. The little over an acre site, which was occupied for 19 years by a dry cleaner, has contaminated soil and groundwater. The remediation will include excavation of soils containing elevated levels of contamination; treatment of site groundwater to remove contamination; capping of the site to remove the potential for exposure to any contaminated soil that remains; and placement of preventative measures designed to mitigate potential exposures to soil vapor contamination. ...
