Riverfront project should be done by next spring By CHRIS GAROFOLO Brattleboro Reformer (VT) June 16, 2011BRATTLEBORO -- The Planning Services department in Brattleboro anticipates having the ambitious riverfront project near the train station completed by next spring, improving the area for pedestrians and incoming travelers to Vermont. Town Planner Sue Fillion said Brattleboro is undertaking a project to create a bus turnaround and green space near the Connecticut River and the bridge into Hinsdale, N.H. An upgrade to the Amtrak station located underneath the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center is also scheduled for a future date. "We’re also going to be creating a river park open space, which is really exciting because, right now, downtown Brattleboro and most locations around downtown don’t have access to the river," she said. ...
