Corning Inc. plans park at former Fallbrook plant site Elmira Star-Gazette (NY) December 19, 2011CORNING -- Corning Inc. has submitted its plan to state agencies to remediate the former Fallbrook plant site on Tioga Avenue and plans to redevelop 10 acres of the property along the Chemung River into green space. "We feel creating a large park at the former plant site in the heart of the city is the best use for that property and it will be an inviting area for people to enjoy," said Dan Collins, Corning vice president for Corporate Communications, in making the announcement Monday morning in a news release. "A city block in Corning that once housed a manufacturing facility is about to take on an entirely new role in the community, as it becomes green space for all to enjoy." ...
