Duke gives Port $100K grant By Amanda Van Benschoten Cincinnati.com January 10, 2012The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority has received a $100,000 grant from Duke Energy Ohio and Duke Energy Kentucky for brownfield redevelopment. The grant will help further the port authority's decade-long mission of redeveloping abandoned and distressed properties. But it also represents an investment in the future of the agency and its evolution into an economic development powerhouse for Hamilton County and Cincinnati. ...The port authority plans to leverage the funds toward an application made in November for one of eight $1 million brownfield remediation loans from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
