Renewable energy is focus of Perth Amboy redevelopment site My Central Jersey March 7, 2012PERTH AMBOY - A Colorado-based company specializing in brownfield development is looking to attract renewable-energy businesses to a 100-acre site along the Arthur Kill that needs to undergo an 18-month environmental remediation. Viridian Partners, a brownfield development company, has been approved by the Perth Amboy Redevelopment Agency as the developer for the ePort site, a 100-plus-acre tract, bounded by the Arthur Kill, Crane Creek, the Route 440 bridge and the High Street extension. A redevelopment agreement for the $90 million investment was signed on Wednesday at City Hall. The project includes the acquisition, remediation and construction of the site. The company plans to seek renewable-energy business for the site to create an environmentally responsible Perth Amboy, in a area with a 100-year history of industrial and maritime use. ...
