Subsurface Vapor Intrusion (VI) into indoor air is a potential exposure pathway that can present conditions hazardous to the health of residents and workers. EPA has long recognized the importance of engaging in dialogue and collaboration with communities and all stakeholders early and often, in order to optimize the decision-making process. As part of EPA’s efforts to finalize its VI Guidance, EPA is hosting a live and real-time internet-accessible forum focusing on community and other stakeholders’ input and recommendations regarding meaningful stakeholder-involvement in both the technical assessment as well as the risk management/decision making process for addressing potential Vapor Intrusion exposures.
