New Marina Opens at Stamford's Harbor PointThe full service marina, built on a former brownfield that was cleaned up with help from the Army Corps of Engineers, reportedly provides 40 new boat slips on Stamford Harbor. By Patrick Barnard Stamford Patch (CT) June 9, 2012City officials and representatives from developer Building and Land Technology reportedly held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday to celebrate the opening of the new North Marina on Washington Boulevard. The new North Marina is part of BLT's ambitious Harbor Point revitalization project which involves redevelopment of five separate sections of Stamford's South Side totaling about 80 acres. Once completed it will feature more than 6 million square feet of residential, retail, office and hotel space, as well as 11 acres of new parkland. ...
