Forest City and quasar energy group bring renewable energy to former brownfield site through anaerobic digestion system

Forest City and quasar energy group are turning a once-vacant brownfield site into a source of local, renewable energy with the launch of the Collinwood Anaerobic Digestion System.

Located at the former General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Collinwood, these two local companies have partnered to build a 1.3 Megawatt waste-to-energy system that recycles organic waste residuals from local businesses and produces electricity that will be sold to Cleveland Public Power.
