Autoworld to relocate at old General Motors site in Anderson, IN By Rick Yencer Anderson Free Press (IN) November 17, 2012ANDERSON, IN - New auto dealerships will rise from the site of the old General Motors Plant 11 on Scatterfield Road along with a new auto technology school on the other side of town operated by Ivy Tech Community College. It is the type of development that will turn an old brownfield into a new commercial development with a $7.5 million investment and 30 new jobs. Mayor Kevin Smith joined Anderson business woman Mary Jamerson recently to announce the new Autoworld facility that will include a Ford Motor Company, General Motors and possibly a third dealership.
