EFG buys old St. Anthony Central Hospital site; demolition to begin By John Mossman Denver Post (CO) January 16, 2013Denver-based EFG-South Sloan's Lake I LLC has purchased the site of the old St. Anthony Central Hospital in west Denver, clearing the way for demolition of the hospital and, potentially, new mixed-use development. The hospital, founded by Franciscan nuns in 1892, occupied the 19- acre site near West Colfax Avenue and Raleigh Street for 119 years. In June 2011, it moved to a 50-acre campus in Lakewood, where it was renamed St. Anthony Hospital. EFG, an EnviroFinance Group company, formerly was known as EFG Brownfield Partners, which specialized in the redevelopment of environmentally challenged land. ...
