by Anna Jeffries Newark Advocate (OH) April 12, 2013NEWARK - Harry Withrow can stand in the corner of his backyard at 99 Maholm St. and see the site of an Ohio Department of Transportation building where chemicals seeped into the groundwater. Although ODOT hasn’t told him his property needs to be tested for contamination, he wanted more reassurance. In late March, he jumped at the chance for a group of Denison University seniors to test the air in his house for the presence of trichloroethylene, or TCE. He was relieved to learn Thursday that the students didn’t find any traces in his home. ...
