City to present draft recommendations to define future of Staten  
Island's Port Richmond section

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Over the last year, the Department of City  
Planning and the Northfield Local Development Corporation have worked  
together to define the future of Port Richmond, a future that would  
include new retail and jobs, a stronger working waterfront, open  
space and redeveloped brownfield sites.

This month, the two entities will present their draft recommendations  
for the Port Richmond Brownfield Opportunity Area during three public  
presentations.

Each will cover the work done to date and an intial set of action  
items, including a rezoning proposal.
