Report Says Whirlpool TCE Plume Stable By Chad Hunter Southwest Times Record (AR) June 26?, 2013A new report shows groundwater contamination at the vacant Whirlpool plant in Fort Smith decreased in concentration over the past year and remained stable underneath a nearby neighborhood. According to Environ, 66 wells were sampled in the fall, while 39 were sampled this spring. "The fall 2012 and spring 2013 results indicate the plume boundary has not moved," the report states. ...
