Habitat for Humanity finishes last homes in Wilmington brownfield
revitalization
By Ben Szmidt WDDE 91.1 FM (DE) September 6, 2013 Some Delawareans have a new home thanks to a local non-profit.State and local officials joined the Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County to dedicate and hand over the keys to new homes on Vandever Avenue in Wilmington on Friday morning. The nine, two-story townhomes are the final phase of the Mill Stone Brownfield Revitalization initiative, the largest construction project that the Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County has ever completed. The project started in 2008 when the Habitat for Humanity bought the one acre site for development. Ground was officially broken in December of 2010. ...
