5-floor retail, residential space planned for downtown By Tony Lascari Midland Daily News (MI) November 14, 2013Plans for a five floor residential, office and retail building on Main Street were unveiled at a Downtown Development Authority Board meeting Wednesday. Midland DTH LLC plans to construct the multi-use building on five parcels from 102 to 128 E. Main St. and 108 Ashman St. Midland DTH was formed by Saginaw-based SSP Associates to complete the project. SSP Associates is the development firm behind the Uptown Bay City project and the two-floor office building currently under construction at Ashman and Buttles streets in Midland that will house Styron Corp. ...Of the five parcels that would be combined for the project, all but one contain contamination, Eggers said. The buildings have asbestos and the land is contaminated with heavy metals, petroleum compounds and dry cleaning compounds, he said. ...
