Commerce park planned at former site of brownfield By Amanda Hinds Doyle Siskiyou Daily News (CA) December 13, 2014MOUNT SHASTA - A new Mount Shasta Commerce Park is in the works on the original 127-acre site of the historic lumber mill property in Mount Shasta, also known as The Landing.
The mill was in use from 1890 to 1985. The site has been vacant for 30 years, according to the Siskiyou County Economic Development Council.
EDC Program Manager Niki Brown said the site was deeded to the city in 1989, and at that time all former mill structures were removed and the log pond was filled with lumber scrap debris.
