DEC certifies cleanup at Rockland brownfield site

HAVERSTRAW - The State Department of Environmental Conservation has  
determined that the cleanup requirements to address contamination at  
the Haverstraw Harbors site on Dr. George W. Girling Drive in  
Haverstraw have been met. The remediation was completed under the  
state’s brownfields cleanup program.

The cleanup activities were performed by Harbors Haverstraw, LLC and  
Admiral’s Cove Haverstraw, LLC with oversight by the DEC, which has  
approved the final engineering report and notice of the certificate  
of completion.
