Brownfield to green space in Sterling One year later, project taking shape By PAM EGGEMEIER Sauk Valley Media (IL) October 19, 2015 STERLING – It’s been nearly a year since bids were put out for work on the city’s riverfront ecotourism project, and the transformation of a blighted industrial property is becoming evident. Project Manager Jens Jensen, owner of Jensen Ecology, recapped the progress at Monday’s council meeting. After working at a frenetic pace the past few weeks, the project is on pause.
