Old cancer study: TCE didn't hurt Fort Edward residents by KATHLEEN MOORE Glens Falls Post-Star (NY) January 1, 2016 FORT EDWARD - A long-awaited study on a cancer cluster in Fort Edward has found no unusual health problems in the town. But the state Department of Health also acknowledged flaws in that study, which was started in response to concerns that a TCE chemical spill at General Electric would cause cancer among nearby residents. The department proposed doing another study that would focus on the area of concern - residents who lived above a TCE plume that spread from GE.
