CTS Superfund cleanup plans set by Tonya Maxwell Asheville Citizen-Times (NC) February 11, 2016 Three acres left polluted by a carcinogenic chemical for decades will be cleaned up using two methods, according a decision issued Thursday by federal environmental officials. Once implemented, the $9 million cleanup near a south Asheville neighborhood is expected to address the source of trichloroethylene, better known as TCE, which is leeching from the CTS of Asheville site on Mills Gap Road.
